The Snowden story is complicated. From what I've seen on here some people are suspicious of Snowden because he was CIA who went to NSA and then leaked that the NSA was spying all over the place even though we know the CIA does the same thing. Some have claimed that the leaks were deliberate in order to discredit the NSA and its leadership. What I don't like about the Snowden business is that he leaked the data in its entirety without redacting personal information which iirc included credit cards. The other suspicious thing about Snowden is the way he cozied up to Russia right after the whole thing broke. However, the way Obama and Co. vilified him goes in his favor.

I personally think the guy meant well; I also think he did the right thing as the American people have the right to know what the government is doing especially if the govt. is violating people's rights. If he wants Assange pardoned maybe he really is the real deal. Can't tell these days, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
