It seems like they were aware of the cameras. To me it seems like they used blind spots.

That may be, but these facilities are littered with cameras. The cases came in a door or through a dock, and there's definitely cameras there.

Now maybe it's a common case type which will confuse things, but I'd still wager something would be found.
