Every other commercial, television show and movie now has interacial couples with a white man and a black woman. Why? It doesn't really bother me but most of the time, I see black men and white women in the real world. Why would they be promoting this?
"If we show a white couple, we're racist. If we show a black couple, people will think it's only for black people. So how do we cover our need to show minorities without alienating the white demographic?"
Also keep in mind, in the endgame, the king can even be an attacker of sorts. You can start pushing it up the board to assist a pawn to a queening square, and you can use it to block off squares of escape for your enemy king.
Most white women prefer white men. Males are statistically more likely to date outside their race than females.
People are sheep, this is probably the one time being s sheep lead to a good outcome(learning to play chess)

Learning how to play chess is easy. Learning how to get good at chess is a lifelong endeavour.
I can't imagine a world where people don't know how to play chess by early childhood. Even my little sister could play chess with me back in the day.
For real though my win streak going through the roof with all the stupid women on chess.com that can't play now. ;)
If you're playing rated games on chess.com, you get paired with people close to your rating. You don't just get paired with random newbies.
Maybe, just maybe, I was making a sexist joke.
