I know in my heart that this may be the moment anyone who has ever taken an oath to defend the constitution will have to take dangerous and normally unthinkable actions to fulfill their oath.

I only wish I could get my wife to understand that letting "someone else" take care of it is never an option once a certain line has been crossed.

I'm sure there were plenty of men whose wives or mothers told them the same thing in the mid to late 1770s. Imagine if they had listened and tried to hold on to what they had rather than risk life and limb for what could be.

"If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace; and this single reflection, well applied, is sufficient to awaken every man to duty." ― Thomas Paine

It is a great motivator and accurate statement. Unfortunately it also ties into that one quote about (roughly) hard times making strong men, strong men making for better times, better times making for weak men, weak men making for hard times
