And all election workers' names a part of public record. And they should be called and appointed like jury duty.

I agree and would even go one step further. In a country as wealthy as this one, why don't we have a purpose built facility specifically designed for counting ballots. It could be designed with cameras and specific areas for poll workers to be observed by poll watchers. I mean, we build different stadiums to watch baseball and football and hockey (I don't know anyone who gives a fuck about Basketball). So, why not have an election building.
