I got home from work one night and the three person couch was filled with one dog: Woof! Surprise! It took exactly one look of those big brown eyes for me to melt ;)
I am forever grateful he did that, because sentimental me sometimes gets in the way of happiness.

When we were going to leave, I realized I could not get up with him lying on my feet and had to ask my friend to ask Sam to move. He was that big or heavy, you can probably relate, but I was totally stuck there till he had him move.
Saw a statue on a river bank in PA as a child that has always stuck with me. I believe it was a bronze lab or retriever. Its boy drowned in the river and the dog never left.
