Whatever you say, bud. I'll wait for you to realize this will only make censorship worse.

Agreed. It may take a while, but free speech will allow for a better marketplace of thought and ideas.

You think suddenly everything won't be only used against us like it has for decades? Wish I had that optimism.

You're trying to sacrifice free speech online for a shot at some companies that probably won't even work.

We are using this site as an example, because it is most effective to use this one as an example. No website on the internet that allows user interaction will be able to exist if this is done. You'll wake up and not be able to go online and say jack shit to anybody. Except probably on Twitter, because they'll AI police their site worse than now and double their team of lawyers.

Because it won't stop it. It will just shut down places like .win where we can actually meet up freely. You're literally a retard if you think repealing 230 ends well for us.

This is doomsday talk over dot win.

Will smaller sites struggle? 100%

Is it the end for smaller sites? Not necessarily and it won't happen instantly. TDW could go private, or overseas or just take down posts more often to avoid lawsuits. Pirated manga and movie sites I visit, keeps on getting taken down legally for copyright and they resurrect multiple times, like cockroach.

Smaller websites have disadvantage, but they also have advantage of just being able to resurrect much easier than Big Tech sites.

Also, other countries do not necessarily have 230 immunity legislation but they still have thriving websites. Sure, most of the big websites are American and in some countries overall censorship is worse. But targeted, politically-biased censorship happening in the US is way worse, IMO.

It would be especially the end of small sites -- not giant ones which can continue to review material and have full time teams of lawyers.

We can start suing their ass with 230 wiped out. They will be out of business so fast.

Big tech is a menace to freedom. They Must be destroyed.

If you want to fire a gun, be prepared for the recoil.

Similar things were said about net neutrality

This isn't net neutrality. This is asking for a reason to be banned from all sorts of social media as well as rid the internet of places like TD. Think about the people who will be in charge over it and think about how great of a job they've done so far of not banning conservatives.
