Let me take blind shot at this. Biden wants full immunity for himself and his family, and keep all the ill-gotte billions and in return he will concede.
Trump offers him and Hunter immunity, but cannot keep all the billions (might let him keep a few million). In return he needs to go on national television and name all the corruption across the board. Blow the lid off the whole thing.
Biden knows if he does that him and his family are dead.
Trump knows anything less than that is not worth it, and would rather blow the lid off himself, through court processes.
Whatever. No sympathy for that establishment turd. He needs jailtime.

Honestly, I think Biden was kind of roped into it. Maybe some establishment types blackmailed because they already know enough dirt to send him and his kids to jail for a long time.
I suspect the plan was once inaugurated, he would either immediately resign, or issue a bunch of unpopular EOs and resign. He'd be remembered always as the President with the shortest time in office.
