I'll tell you, I worked with many Ruby's in South FL. They file for FMLA or claim disability. They can take time off whenever they please and their jobs are protected. I legit worked with a Ruby who was at work one day, facetiming a "African prince" she met online. She was a very heavy Ruby, she was leaning back in her chair, the chair Epsteined itself and slid from under her. I watched her "fall" to the floor. She claimed injuries, got workers comp. Was out of work and getting paid for months. While on medical leave she posted a video of her in Africa getting married to the "African prince". On God this is one of many stories i can tell you about my time working with Ruby's.
Funny, my office ended up closing because 80% of the employees eventually ended up on fmla and never coming into work. So yes, ppl with that mentality ruin everything.
She was there to “work”... hopefully it was worth it Ruby! She deserves the book thrown at her. My guess is she will plead ignorance but that is no excuse.
