I have a family member with dementia and I can tell you that's exactly how it starts. It's called primary progressive aphasia. Mark my words, next up he's going to start replacing the names of common objects with the word 'thing' or 'things' and it's downhill from there.

Anyways this is a video of him saying "Like I told Barack[...] I'll develop some disease and say I have to resign." This thing is so scripted I can't even believe what I'm seeing.
