It's also tautology nonsense, of course the ends justify the means because what else would.

That's why it's used as a mind wash for idiots and assholes to excuse themselves.

I thought Machiavelli came up with that in The Prince? It’s definitely an ancient concept regardless. Too bad The Prince was an asskissing book

People crave a perception of moral balance at a fundamental level. It's ok to do something bad so long as you feel like you've done something good to balance it out.

Well, if you believe that you're literally saving the world from destruction, that could balance a whole lot of "something bad".

This has always been the key principle behind collectivists' "greater good" rallying cry.

I see the “Trump is Hitler” saying as just one of the many, many tactics used by the ones who have been in power for as long as we can remember.

The reason why you’ve been hearing it only for the last four years is because Trump is no George Bush, John McCain or Mitt Romney. He wasn’t a puppet that was put in power by the deep state, unlike the rest.

Trump came to power through a special anointing—a direct act of God, if you will. Now the ones who had the power for all these years have completely lost it and will resort to anything as long as it serves to try to discredit Trump.

By divine intervention, their cheating did not work in 2016. And in 2020, also by divine intervention, their cheating is the gallows they built to hang Trump—but that they will ultimately hang upon.
