The United States already IS in this direction. The entire news apparatus is 100% under CIA control. The news is the government. The government is the news. Not 90%. Not 95%. 100%. It frustrates me greatly when I hear arguments like this because it demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of what we face.
Is there state controlled Media in the USA? Like where the Federal Government owns the intellectual property, underlying assets and infrastructure of News Organizations. No. They are publicly traded.
