When acting in this capacity, the legislative body of the state does not need permission from any other body and can even ignore the state constitution. Basically if they had some balls they could tell the governor to go fuck himself and just get together and send Trump electors with or without any fraud investigations.

We don’t. Legislature has the constitutional power to do it themselves. I think they already said they won’t.
