You are correct, he did. Mr. Jefferson gets so much attention/credit and poor Madison not so much in spite of his amazing achievements!

History has so many beautiful little points people need to learn and stay educated about.

Everything from throwing tea into a harbor, to the significance of "One if by sea, two if by land" and even lesser known people like Timothy Murphy.
