We have long range walky talkies to comm with neighbors; ours are good for little over a mile, and a cb.
That's nice. You should get a HAM license and look into repeaters and places to mount them or you may be able to use another ham operator you meet at your local club as a relay. Good luck!
Can you point me to any solid reads about this kind of deep prep? Do you buy the land in a company name or hide on federal lands? I'm also trying to figure out how to farm in forests, and do so a little covertly.
