You're...way, way off target here, and missing the point rather entirely. He was uniquely positioned in that he is a person involved with the family of persons of interest. In other words, being the boyfriend of Kemp's daughter is the significance, and I already elaborated as to why.

Yes, it could have been any boyfriend at all, although not any boyfriend dying in any way ever. Had he died of cancer 2 weeks ago, or 2 months from now, it wouldn't be significant. Dying very shortly after Kemp recommends an audit, in a car crash? That's a different story.

Harrison Deal was irrelevant, considered in a vacuum. It's the ties that matter - although some have gone so far as to claim that he may have been leaking information as well. If that's the case, offing him is a 2 for 1 special. Mostly obscure and won't raise too many eyebrows, stops the leaks, sends a message to Kemp to back off, enables people like yourself to put in hours of effort claiming that there's nothing suspicious about it at all. Solid stuff all around.

Again, I'm not at all convinced that you don't fully understand that there is reasonable suspicion here already, but a lot of drones out there have this weird idea in their head that anything shady is automatically false, so...
