China does not have a superior navy. Yes, they have more "ships", but those ships are not originally built for combat. They basically remake old fishing or shipping vessels, toss a few guns on, and declare them part of the navy now (still sticking with that "Made in China" quality we've come to expect). They aren't meant to last in combat. "Largest Navy" is propaganda in China. Like how they lie about beating the virus with no deaths. They just spin the truth because they don't test and label any deaths as something else. Just like their yearly flu death numbers. The US has less ships, but superior vessels and weapons. Vessels built to be in conflict zones. Plus the people trained and experienced to operate them. It becomes a battle of quality over quantity.
And the Chinese army and the People's Liberation Army aren't exactly top tier military. They've never seen combat outside of little skirmishes with India and a few other neighbors. They don't grow up with weapons like the US. And most of them are sons from the generation where China only allowed one-child households. Meaning these guys grew up spoiled and sheltered. People tend to refer to them as "Little Emperors". A lot of the military leaders have no experience either. They got granted high positions through things like nepotism and how many CCP boots they licked. Again, it's quantity over quality. At least when it comes to comparing military personnel.
Even if the Chinese could successfully travel all the way to either coast (I don't think they have any ports near the US, unless Trudeau goes full commie boot licker. Shipping troops and supplies over looong distances would be a massive and expensive undertaking with little reward), there are still more armed citizenry around the US that makes everyone they encounter a threat. American civilians make up the largest armed force on Earth.
I'd be more concerned about terrorist efforts in covert ops on American soil by Chinese infiltrators, Chinese Tongs, mercenaries, or Communist sympathizers than an invasion.
Plus we do have allies in Japan, Taiwan, and India in China's neck of the woods, among others. There's also South Korea and Australia, but I have no idea how reliable either would be. Especially if the Chinese infiltration in Australia comes to a head and things get worse there. And India has alliances with places like Vietnam. There's still bad blood against the US, but they dislike China more. I know Singapore, Indonesia, and other nations along the South China Seas have a strong dislike for China, but it's the governments there I'm not sure about.

Plus my son just turned 18 and I don't want him going to war.. which if a war broke out with China he would FOR SURE sign up probably for the thrill as much as duty and country....
