Dear Pedes,
I can feel that a lot of you are excited about things to come in the following weeks. However, we must not get into any bad habits with our spelling and grammar.
The verb 'to hang' is usually used to indicate that an object is being suspended at the end of a rope. In this case the past tense of 'hang' is 'hung', as in "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care."
I anticipate that we will be using the word 'to hang' with a different meaning: to kill someone by tying a rope around their neck and releasing the support beneath them, usually as a form of execution. In this case the past tense of 'to hang' is 'hanged', as in "Those commie faggots were all hanged, but not before having a fair trial. This is a nation of laws, and not of men."
username checks out.
Maybe, if you sneak up on me.
I'll be hung when these treasonous fucksticks are hanged though, thats for sure.
After they're hanged can they be hung as decorations?
Watched enough spaghetti westerns to know it's "Hanged by the neck until dead."
To help keep it straight:
We are hung
They will be hanged
Good to keep in mind...haha
You should have tagged this as "humor" because this is funny.
Surely no one is this anal, and inane, to be seriously worrying about the proper use of "hang" so much that they write a post about it (with examples).
Good one
Well, I'm hung and I don't care about yer Yankee Grammer.
If you say they're well hung that means something else entirely.
And it's probably wrong.
Nothing like refining our speech until all commies are hanged until dead.
So pornstars are well hanged?
Some of those hanged might have been hung. 🤔
Those soyboys? Unlikely.
Well, maybe their "women"
