Consider where we are now: ruled by a corrupt government run by Oligarchs who care nothing for the rule of law.
Consider the alternative: President Trump using his vested powers to take the government back from said Oligarchs in order to restore the law and the constitution.
I'd much rather prefer the latter thank you very much.
There were many libertarians (one who was my friend) who viewed Lincoln as a Dictator because of what he did.
Some have seen the light (my friend in particular) and realized the truth: when you have a group of people actively trying to destroy the constitution to further their own agenda: you must defend the law at all costs.
I see your distinction. Now let me draw the parallels.
Before Day ONE of his Presidency: the Obama Administration sabotaged the incoming Administration by pressing false charges against Flynn.
For three years his actions were hobbled by a special counsel that came about as a result of said shenanigans.
He was impeached for actions that he took that were not illegal.
And now they are trying to remove him using a rigged election.
Guess who else had to stop a rigged election to get re-elected? Lincoln.
The democrats have NEVER accepted President Trump as the duly elected POTUS. Everything that happened since November 2016 has been the result of a slow-motion coup against a duly elected President.
And in case you're saying that I'm wrong to say that President Trump isn't the parallel here: consider that in 2000 Al Gore was given the right to challenge the presidential election all the way up to SCOTUS. He conceded only when SCOTUS ruled against him on Dec 13.
There is a case ON THE DOCKET for SCOTUS regarding PA:
"I must trample the constitution in order to save it." - Abraham Lincoln
And I don't even like Lincoln. One of the worst presidents ever. But there is a fair perspective that he saved the country by blatantly and outrageously violating the constitution.
Also, you have to understand conservatism is losing by nature. What had conservatism conserved? 2A? Abortion? Voting integrity? The rule of law? Free speech? A moral country? It's by nature one failure after another. 25 years ago we were all anti gay marriage, now "we have the best MAGA guys don't we!?!"
A lot of people called Honest Abe a tyrant for what he did during the Civil War.
All of it was necessary to save the Country.
The point I'm trying to make is this:
Consider where we are now: ruled by a corrupt government run by Oligarchs who care nothing for the rule of law.
Consider the alternative: President Trump using his vested powers to take the government back from said Oligarchs in order to restore the law and the constitution.

This will not be the only case but it will be the first.
The three lawyers who successfully argued against Al Gore before SCOTUS were: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Comey Barrett.
GUESS WHERE THEY ARE NOW!?
Brush up on your history mate. You're about to see it happen again.

Drastic times, drastic measures. Wake up.
