In Aus politicians cant get away with buying an expensive bottle of wine, taking a helicopter trip on the taxpayers dime or buying a house near future infrastructure without getting dismissed.
In the US they become multimillionaires. Its very weird to us. Our politicians live in normal houses in the suburbs not mansions dotted around the country.
