its not a respect issue, they don't FEAR us. the patriot act was a line in the sand, that too many American's let Fear overwhelm their freedoms. when the IRS targeted the Tea Party members, Americans where silent. the left has slow boiled the frog and they did their calculations, to them they should get away with mask mandates and lockdowns as well, as Americans have become complacent and kowtowed. it remains to be seen if they are correct.

Fear is a powerful tool. Even with the coronavirus we still live in the safest era humanity has ever known with the highest life expectancy, but the media has told us that isn't good enough and our freedoms must be sacrificed so folks with dimentia, alzheimers and multiple co-morbidities eek out a few miserable years alone trapped in a prison that's an old folks home.
The fear works on state and local government officials as well. We got lockdowns from the media showing people dropping dead in China and China being forced to lockdown. We got mask mandates after the media kept hounding the Chinavirus task force and CDC to release guidelines on masks and then heavily promoting their use afterwards.
Overthrow the media first. They singlehandedly control our elections, they get to decide who to cover and unless you're on the same level as Trump nobody can ever get in through politics if they're an outsider. It's just way too much money needed for a working class citizen to even have a shot. Anybody should be able to run for president, or congress; not just the party/media golden boy or girl.
Which then one could look at our government as a total dog and pony show, the media giving us the same candidates year after year while they continually fuck us in the ass; Same people who caused all of this country's problems are now the ones going to "fix it"

What has given the Governors this amount of power? Is it because they have issued a state of emergency? If so, isn’t there some sort of time limit on a state of emergency? What’s to prevent them from never lifting the emergency?
Somehow the courts are also not stepping in to do anything about it and the police are enforcing this crap as well. So much for supporting the police. The entire system is corrupt.
I am starting to agree with this supposed “support for the police”. I have several good friends who are officers and I believe they will do whatever they have to in order to not cause waves in their departments. It’s very disappointing.

People have forgotten that we are a federation of individual republics. Likely because schools don't teach the truth. Most of the population has forgotten how much power their state has, and pays little attention to the elections of their governors and state legislatures. Hopefully that changes.
