The central point. Non transparent by force. I will wait to see if the courts and legislature correct this. If they do not, there is no other option but for citizens to correct it.

To quote the great Hari seldon. Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent. This is going to be won by civics and being civil. There are avenues of resistance the demo think tanks haven't even considered yet. Patience. The battle is far from over.

Scott gets things wrong occasionally, but when he’s right, it’s always worth a listen.

He makes an amazing point about misdirection that you may have seen in your regular disputes with your co-workers, friends, etc.

People use misdirection, knowingly or unknowingly in an attempt to get you to move from your original point to something entirely different. Once they have moved you off the subject you are trying to focus on, they will try to downplay the part of it that they misdirected you to and get you to agree with something entirely non-controversial or meaningful to the discussion. Having not solved your actual issue, if you then go back to your original point and statement that was never addressed they will claim that you've already brought that up and then try to re-push their same meaningless point.

Funny enough, I feel like stupid people are better at this because they rely more on instinct and less on intelligence to guide their social interactions. Anyway, there's entire books on how to win arguments. I'll stoo.
