Not the least bit true as that would imply that there is an actual decision making process in the assignment system.

It's a balmy sunny 50 degrees at 10:00AM right now, I've got the window wide open a few feet away and am sitting shirtless in my house sipping some coffee, safe in the knowledge my Governor isn't going to order some unconstitutional bullshit which would destroy our local economy and trample our rights.

Rapid City area is my personal recommendation if bars, biking, and other outdoors activities with friendly people is your idea of a good time. Tourist season gets more exciting with people coming in from all over to see Mount Rushmore, the Badlands, Deadwood, the Sturgis Rally, etc, it's always a good time of year.

Tho Sioux Falls area is like 3x more populated and as such has more to do in terms of activities and city-life (as well as it's associated negatives), it's right there on the border to Minnesota tho...

Quicker to get to Minneapolis from there than to get to Rapid City from there... Seems like where the Blue in our State would end up, tho I haven't spent too much time there to really say for sure.

Windy, yes. The plains are. Landscape looking like the surface of the moon is a drawback? It's got all sorts of cool features. Special for the plains.

The CCPvirus bullshit naming the Dakotas as the deadliest place on earth is merely trying to stop any boom they might experience. People there don't get tested unless they're sick, which throws all the numbers off.

Blame Massachusetts honestly. VT and NH used to be deep red, then in the 50s and 60s CT/MA hippies ruined New England by infesting the northern half

SouthDakota4EVA 10 points ago +10 / -0

I live in Rapid City, just an hour from Mt Rushmore, and 30 mins from Sturgis. We have some woketards, but they are looked at as a minority in Rapid City. The 3 blue areas of SD are Pierre, and the 2 Indian reservations. Pine ridge is the nastiest Indian reservation in America, (look that shit up) and they banned alcohol, so we get plenty of nasty bums from there.

29
lifeisahologram 29 points ago +31 / -2

She doesn’t. She praised and misframed the Sioux Falls mask mandate as what the people voted for. They didn’t.

It was easy for her to say she was anti mask when every locality was anti mask. But as soon as the corrupt city council in Sioux fall passes one she supports it.

She literally said she didn’t think the authority existed to mandate masks, so I guess the authority to violate civil liberties exists now, but only if you are a city council?

Also the council corruptly brought the mask mandate to vote like 7 times, despite it being demanded by the people NO MASKS, they continued to bring it to vote over, and over, and over again. The last time was no exception, people came out in force to say NO MASKS, and the fucking twats on the council told them to fuck off they were passing it anyways.

Kristi COWERED to a corrupt city council. The council was probably paid off to try and get a mask mandate in the last big city holdout in America. She should have explicitly said the mask mandate was unconstitutional and arrested everyone on the council.

She needs to step up.

DeSantis

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +4 / -2

In what way is DeSantis better than Noem?

10
lifeisahologram 10 points ago +12 / -2

They are all weak. Although at this time I would give the edge to DeSantis only because he came out with a “half measure”. Still have criticisms over his response I’ll explain below, but he explicitly stated localities can not enforce any mask penalties for not wearing a mask.

So not only has he come out as anti mask, he straight up said they can’t do anything anyways.

The problem however is he made his EO months ago at this point, and localities created penalties AFTER his order, blatantly defying and ignoring him. And his response?

Literally said nothing for at least 2-3 weeks. Then as they continued to defy him he just restated his EO was still in effect. Um okay. But they are ignoring you buddy, you uh, gonna do anything about that? Hello? 👋

Every governor is a weak spineless loser who doesn’t want to take any responsibility over enforcing constitutional rights. Until these corrupt localities are ARRESTED, nothing will change.

I’m hoping DeSantis is maybe just figuring out how to enforce his ignored order, and that’s why he hasn’t done anything yet, but I’m not holding my breath.

5
CuomoisaMassMurderer 5 points ago +6 / -1

So Noem messed up one thing, in one city. Let's look at the related issues:

  1. what is the penalty for being Karen'd while maskless?

  2. LEOs attitude re: mask enforcement?

  3. Did she really have information about the majority of voters in Sioux Falls being anti-mask? What info did she have? News reports of protesters surely downplayed this. A Governor could see a city council's repeated attempts as being responsive to the people, rather than corruption.

Do you know her perspective?

  1. Reported numbers make SD look horrible, especially Sioux Falls. Even Rubicon Don suggested "patriots wear masks." (pukeface.jpg) DeSantis caved to this way more, but population density really is a big factor in the spread of any communicable disease. Sioux Falls is the most densely populated part of SD?

Do you know if Noem's position is more about trying anything that might help, or cowering before a city council?

  1. I admire your drive to see tyrants arrested. Noem is one of less than 10 Governors not in that club. A State that only has 1 city council that needs to face gallows or at least stocks is top tier, if not #1 outright. Did you see that even Alaska has a corrupt election board?

Maybe I've set some gears turning for a letter to Noem. Would she respond?

Any links to her statements allowing mask mandate?

1
lifeisahologram 1 point ago +3 / -2
  1. There are no penalties, however this does not justify, excuse, or more importantly DIMINISH the severity of such an edict. Because why issue a penalty-free edict? After all they would have to recognize the chance that no one adheres to it, regardless how minuscule of a chance, which if that is the case, again why? But they know that’s not the case. They know a population beyond 0 will simply adhere because its the law, and some people have trust in a system of governance. But it is not their place to exploit those people. Granted the exploited can stand up for themselves if they don’t want to wear a mask. And they do have that responsibility, just like a person has a responsibility to drive defensively to protect themselves driving, or how someone should take precautions if traveling to a dangerous part of town. But that responsibility does not absolve the aggressor. A rape victim who walked alone drunk down an alley SHOULD have taken precautions and could have avoided the situation that’s indisputable, but the rapist is still 100% responsible for the act, same applies to the 6-2 majority who voted for the mandate. They are the rapists.

  2. Law enforcement in Sioux Falls has said they will only enforce it f the business wishes to enforce it. But again we go back to the exploited. There will naturally be a segment of the population which this edict exploits, and that includes business owners. Whether it’s 1 or 1000, A segment will follow the law as written, whether they want to or not, whether it’s unconstitutional or not. But their exploitation cannot be excused away. Additionally some businesses which hold ideological differences will choose to enforce such a law simply to penalize those they disagree with. This is also raises the question, should a business be allowed to have a mask requirement? Well if the answer is yes, then this also applies outside a pandemic. This would also apply to other facial coverings. If a business can require a mask, they can require you wear a 50 pound backpack full of bricks. Sorry, you aren’t wearing your 50lb brick backpack. DENIED SERVICE! But this would also apply to those ideological differences I mentioned before. Where is the line on what a private business can require of a person? I think the easy answer is anything right? It’s their private business! The patron makes the decision to agree to those terms right? Okay new rule, you can’t shop at my large department store unless you suck my dick. Unless I fuck you in front of everyone on stage. Oh that’s not okay? Why? The public indecency law conflicts because it’s my private business right? Law against trading sex in exchange for goods and service also proves a conflict, because it shows there is a limit on what can be demanded in exchange for services. But why is sex that limit? There is a limit for a reason, and businesses open to the public should adhere to those limits on what requirements they necessitate out of their base. I would argue a business that requires a membership has better grounds for requiring a mask, or other clothing requirements, because these terms are explicitly agreed upon as the member signs the dotted lines and hands over cash. But these terms are not as explicitly, keywords as explicitly, agreed upon to non membership businesses. But this is a very complex discussion on its own I have only BARELY addressed here.

  3. If she doesn’t have this information she is ignorant and oblivious which showcases she is inept at her job. If she was aware, it shows she is spineless and a coward, which is why she misframed it so she could use her double speak and retain the praises she is getting from so many, without having to actually follow through with committing to her statements she made earlier.

  4. It is cowering because she had on many occasions strongly refuted the need for masks on a state level. However now that masks are being implemented her tune has changed. She could back up her previous statements, but is now using weasel words to make it all mesh and flow together. Bottom line if masks are a violation of civil liberties on a state level, they are a violation on a city level, even if the city voted 99% for it. The many cannot tyrannize the few.

  5. Nearly everyone has proven to be cowards but Trump and few others. I might even say it’s not corruption for everyone, but simply cowardice. No one wants to do something that takes responsibility. Which is what all these edicts are, deferring responsibilities. If they protect constitutional rights and people die, they don’t want to deal with the fallout from the other cowards who will blame them. So rather than face a stupid angry mob, they give in.

  6. Don’t have a link on hand but it is was her last big public speech. It was posted here on TD I’m sure you could find it.

They do and the people will have to help with that. They voted them in after all. But the mere fact the council brought it to vote SOOOO many times and EVERYTIME the people came out in opposition to the mandate shows the council acted in bad faith and against the wishes of the city.

So I hope the Sioux Falls people do their job and vote them out in the future. But in the interim they still need to be arrested for violating constitutional rights.

4
CuomoisaMassMurderer 4 points ago +4 / -0

"Color of law." If you'll write Noem I'll give you a couple links to federal statutes that are doozies.

One client of mine for 20 years is a health inspector. They mainly inspect restaurants to check for violations of safe practices, but are also the first responders for most contagious disease outbreaks. Not cops or firemen or Doctors.

When this started she checked in the manual, and found that for anything like this the protocol is lockdown all international travel, and everybody wears a mask. She literally believes no civil rights matter because we have a virus. This is the attitude I've found at every level of our government, which includes schools.

Noem towers above these idiots, take heart.

Handful of representatives and senators but they same like good supporting cast.

Florida governor.. Ron DeSantes (sp?) - I’m on board with him for a MAGA president.

6
CuomoisaMassMurderer 6 points ago +6 / -0

Noem is MAGA af, in Office. Nothing "future" about that, it's present reality. Whether she should move to federal government or remain Governor is a real discussion to have. Before plannedemic I had no idea how important the Governor is!

Pence is a political insider. I thought it was wise for Rubicon Don to balance himself out with him, and then to only hire Washington outsiders. Too bad he didn't do that, that's another Rubicon I'd like to see him cross. This is why I think Pence is wrong for POTUS, but a tremendous asset anywhere else. His VP debate had me questioning that. Certainly in the 60s he'd be a lock for next POTUS, but now we live in a different world.

Now we need to focus on remaining a sovereign Nation. It's seriously challenged

A non essential business is somewhere that people would forgo if there was an actual pandemic going around. I mean one where you don’t need mass fake testing to convince stupid people that there is a dangerous pandemic. The people would decide what’s essential, I doubt people would be going out for ice cream with bodies in the streets ala Black Plague in Europe. If this shit were real (as dangerous as they are pretending) they wouldn’t have to be so heavy handed with threats if you didn’t comply.

15
Rginap 15 points ago +15 / -0

Seriously. If shit was really as bad as they say it is, you won't see people packed into Costco and Target. Even in my blue cucked states, people arent doing the stupid six feet thing anymore (for the most part, there's always retarded exceptions). Some stores aren't even following limits on number of customers anymore.

Fuck these arbitrary rules that the politicians have put in place. People will naturally adjust their behavior to the actual threat of the situation. They don't need some skeezy governor telling them how to "keep safe".

11
fjobb 11 points ago +11 / -0

Especially when it is obviously bullshit. Walmart can be open but not small businesses etc. I wouldn't mind this quite so much if it was logically consistent at all, but it is not (and by design not a mistake). There is no way to justify for example the video of the woman in LA crying because she's losing everything while movie companies can have a eating area set up 50 ft away.

But then you have a bunch of medical professionals and epidemiologists coming out and say, "oh but BLM protests should be allowed to happen because that fighting racism is for the good of public health!" Dafaq?!

Also, casinos, liquor stores and weed shops can be opened, but not churches?! That is some arbitrary bullshit.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not just weed shops but weed delivery.

Another way of knowing this was never about public health:

they did not tell us lockdown destroys our immune system. They didn't tell us how to boost our immune system.

They knew all this.

It's impossible to keep 6' from people at stop and shop on a Saturday or Sunday. It can't be done. Not that I care of course, is just all so stupid.

I laugh when people try though. I’ve encountered people who scurry like cockroaches when I get close to them. Pathetic.

Everyones livelihood is essential to them, not governments job to define this, absolutely correct.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

But the Constitution doesn't matter when there's a virus? Seriously everyone in every level of government (including schools) believes this. Find the few exceptions ...

Rubicon Don! Noem is on that short list for sure

1
TheBigT03 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah i dont know some of these govt jobs seem pretty non essential to me maybe we should take away their jobs see how they feel about it then

This made a big fan. She does not understand on vaccines though.

Noem is for 'vaccine for all' mandates. Sad. See link:

I found this article from February this year. It only had one quote from her in it, but considering she's against freedom of choice in this area, imo, this makes her pro forced vaccination. I wouldn't be surprised if she made it mandatory to get the covid vaccine.

This made me turn against her. I was a huge Noem fan but no refugees have please

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Doesn't it make more sense to support the great candidate, and work on the very few problematic issues?

What better option do you have?

3
i5ogjdfioj934 3 points ago +3 / -0

According to federal policy, no more than 60 refugees can be placed in Minnehaha County in two thousand twenty. Lutheran Social Services says that number could end up being much lower. This continues a downward trend for refugee resettlement. In 2019, 180 people were resettled in Minnehaha County.

Thank you, President Trump, for the anti-cuck mandate saving us from rapefugees.

I'm glad some Governors get it my state has never fully opened up since this started it's ridiculous and we're fixing to go into another lockdown. I didn't close my business during the first one and I won't close it under the next one. Thankfully the blue in my area are for the people and don't enforce that bullshit

7
Cheesecakecrush 7 points ago +7 / -0

A person's business is essential to them.

No kidding, governor. If that is how a person feeds themselves and their families, it sure as hell IS essential.

It's interesting how the governors who did differentiate between essential and non-essential always came to the conclusion that huge corporations are essential while the smaller businesses or mom/pop shops aren't. Where are the liberals who decry corporate control? Where are the liberals who hate wealth inequality? Why was this year not cause for them to throw a shit fit against governors making these problems worse?

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because they can't think.

Not being a wise guy. This is my honest and considered assessment.

2
massivehairycleaner 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't know who said it first, but any business that puts dinner on the table is essential.

2
preferredfault 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's no such thing as non essential, because there's nothing in the constitution that puts the prosperity of one person over another based on their choice of work. Everyone is essential, because all men are created equal.

This whole "essential" thing is just commie propaganda being implemented. And on top of that....essential to WHOM? The only thing that is rightfully essential, is the ability for people to make income for themselves to prosper. By implying people aren't essential, effectively says that because they do certain things for income, their prosperity and rights aren't essential. They want this precedence so they can try to use that basis of "non essential" to create a communist class system in America.

Noem2024!!!

2
nachosamplerREBORN 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is no definition - it’s arbitrary. Movie set dining OK. Restaurant across the street? Not OK. I believe ‘essential’ is defined as how much money you give the democrats combined with lobbyist effort on behalf of your business.

now that i think about it, "essential/non-essential" is the same type of language as when they say "a living wage"

everyone nods along like yes they know just what that means except either they can never actually clearly define it when asked, or no two people will give you the same answer

Capitalism ensures only essential businesses exist. Money (or is supposed to be anyway) finite and anything people deem not essential goes out of business. Only a communist believes governments can dictate the free market.

2
codesherpa 2 points ago +2 / -0

This "essential", "non-essential" is straight out of communist economic planning 101. That's how communists classified businesses when making their 5 year plans. It helped determine how resources would be allocated, materials and labor.
