Veterans with any rank: use your leadership skills

That's where you lose me. Veteran don't mean leader OR hero.
Dan Crenshaw
John McStain
Evan Hafer
Mad dog Mattis.
Just to put a name on a few.

I'll go along with people whose ideals match my own. Regardless of status.

Hi there. Veteran here. Former infantry NCO twice deployed to combat in Iraq 2003-2007. Can confirm A LOT of turds out there that use the veteran card, but couldn't lead their way out of a car wash drive thru. Remember, a lot of people joined for college money and not for country. Most were good, but a lot were useless garbage. So no, being a veteran doesn't make you a hero or leader by default. Be wary of anybody WANTING to lead. Its usually the men and women that don't want to lead, but step up to the role when its needed that make the best leaders.
