However, if you follow up on Bob Dole's wife, who appears at first glance to be fairly globalist in her associations, it does seem she quietly lost a senate race in 08 that reflected a 10 % drop in republican voters. That's a shockingly huge drop for North Carolina to have happened in just 6 years. I would be willing to bet a tooth that race was stolen.
