My Canadian dad (I'm American) is practically giddy at the prospect of China replacing the US as the global super power. He has no idea how fucked the entire world would be if we let that happen. There's no getting through to him and many (most?) Canadians feel the way he does. The Chinese see how stupid/ naive the West is and laugh in our face. Trump is the only man they couldn't buy off.
