Cars don't explode. Fuel systems are closed and to explode it would be an insane coincidence. You typically see a spill, with the fire then starting, and engulfing the car. This, as witnesses attest, sounded like a bomb going off and 3 cars had fire damage. Clear driving conditions, didn't look like a speeding issue.... It doesn't add up to a crash.

He didn't hit a tanker, and gas tanks are insanely protected from collision, and even when hit they will leak and then catch fire... Leading to more fore and then possible explosion.
