That was the same argument they used several years ago when they banned smoking in NC restaurants.
I argued that the government had no business telling business owners what they could and could not allow in their places of business. They said it was to protect the patrons and workers. I don't need them making decisions for me. If I don't want to eat where people are smoking, I can go somewhere else. They took away my choice.
Oh yeah, part 2 of my rant was if they were truly concerned about our health, they would have banned the growth, manufacture, and sales of tobacco products - but they get a shitload of tax revenue from tobacco, not to mention kickbacks/payoffs, so that's not an option.
