Editing posts just doesn't seem to work half the time.
I'll post something. See a typo, edit it, and save it. Then I'll refresh and my edit will be there making me think it worked.
But sometimes 10 mins later I'll come back and check again, and the edit is gone and the original typo is back.
It doesn't seem like there's any rhyme or reason to which edits are accepted and which ones vanish into the ether.
I really wish this is something the admins would fix, because not actually having control over your own posts is a really shitty downside.
Everyone give it a try.... Post something in the comments. Then try editing it.
Then come back in a few mins and see if your original post or the edited version is whats showing.

I've noticed if you try to do this too quickly after posting it will not update. I have this issue with flairs. I make my post and before returning to the home page I'll add a flair. Then when back on the homepage I have to refresh a few times before it shows up and 9 times out of 10 it does not have flair. I'll refresh a couple of times just to make sure it isn't lagging and sure enough no flair. So I think you have to wait for a bit first before trying to edit anything.

The site works just fine, and the MODS are doing a fantastic job for zero recompense from anyone using it.
Sounds like a complex programming bug that needs to be identified and fixed by the dev, not a sign of poor management.

Nope, I don't develop websites directly. But I do own them, manage them, and oversee their development.

I didn't say that and my statements have been extremely concise so they should be easy for you to follow.
What I stated, quite simply, is that this site is poorly managed. Take offense to that if you want but it is a fact. It is clear that the mods are in over their heads when it comes to managing a website of this magnitude. It's great that the site is here but it is missing many key features, such as the search function which has been disabled for weeks due to it being proclaimed as a DDoS attack vector. Instead of fixing the search function they just let it sit there broken. I myself and others have recommended directly to mods, in both public and private, how to fix it and it is a very easy fix. Instead we have to suffer through an unusable "NEW" page which causes masses of reposts which just clogs up the site and takes away from the UE.
I don't care how you or the mods take this criticism but it was originally, months ago intended to be constructive. They simply do not respond or literally get defensive and ban you. Thus, this is around my 6th username over the last year. My last one lasted 3 days I believe. Sorry for trying to help. This will be my final post on this thread and perhaps under this username! lol
