I’m not sure if this matters at all, but it’s gotten some positive responses from random people I’ve encountered in public. I wear my mask when entering businesses per our city ordinance. I put it on after I walk in and take it off as soon as my business is done, before exiting.
Whenever I’m in sight of others, I often pull my mask down for long enough that they notice. I’m just hoping that it indicates to people that maybe it’s not so scary. People have reacted slightly in positive ways. I think this is one of the small things we can do to communicate non verbally, and maybe even signal to each other in public. Thoughts?
I didn’t wear them until one cashier told me that she’d be fined if the ordinance was broken under her watch.
That was a lie. Was there a cop there ready to hand them out?
