I used to be able to go through stores freely with my chinderwear/face diaper/bacterial pneumonia generator below my nose. Today, I made the mistake of making eye contact with somebody at Target (usually one of the places where I know people don't care.) A male Karen seized the opportunity and called out, "Mask all the way up. It's the safe way." Then, as I ignored him and passed, "Think about it." I refrained from flipping him the bird. This is the second time this has happened to me recently.

I hate what this is doing to me. I hate what this is doing to society. It feels like enemies are around every corner, just waiting to pounce. I want to be friendly. I want to make someone else's day with a smile, even if it's a person whose politics I would disagree with if I knew what they were. But in order to breathe, I have to avoid even making eye contact. And if I want to breathe, I have to display on my face who I voted for.

We have to end this.

The tyranny will only continue as long as people comply. I understand people have different personalities, some choose to not "stir the pot". At some point though, when do enough people who would rather be friendly say enough is enough? Mandatory vaccines? Gun confiscation? Property and bank account seizure? Just my opinion, but it's not "just a mask". It's heading down a very slippery slope of total control.

I totally get you. I agree that this is about compliance, not science. For me, the hard line is mandatory vaccines. That's a firm "hell, no" for me. Gun confiscation has always been the same.

For masks, I struggle in more ways than one. Ideologically, it's a gross violation of my bodily autonomy. Emotionally, it's kind of triggering because it reminds me of past abuse. (I'm not a helpless wreck, but it's not good for my blood pressure.) But practically, I know I can be fined for non-compliance. I thought I was safe enough just flouting the order and pulling it down. But if I'm going to be harassed either way, I may have to start claiming an exemption and threatening discrimination when they ask what the exemption is. I'm honestly not quite there yet, but I may get there soon.

You'll know when enough is enough for you. Everyone reaches their limit. I honestly don't go out and about much ( unless it's drive-through/carryout) or to the based grocery stores I have found. I hate being out in the Twilight Zone and refuse to partake in it. Mentally, I've adjusted to not going to stores, restaurants, etc. I realize now more than ever what is important in life. That's just me, cannot say it hasn't been stressful at times though. This shit has to come to an end, and the only way for that to happen is when enough people take a stand.

I rarely go out anymore. Been maskless the whole time and recently have been getting shit comments and looks.

CountryState_of_Mind 6 points ago +6 / -0

Same here, I refuse to wear one. Karen hasn't said anything to me yet, but boy oh boy I wish she would. That just further motivates me to be rebellious. Have had some looks...only makes me feel better I can piss off the sheep.

I could not agree with you more.

not complying at this point will only lead to violence, which will then escalate to rebellion. most people are holding out for trump to indict them so they don't have to kill people

Open carrying a large handgun keeps Karens away as well.

Month seven of 15 days.

Just tell them to fuck off. If they attack you, kill them. They will stop coming.

6
DeadOverRed 6 points ago +6 / -0

This is the answer. Kill them until they stop, or they're all dead.

3
rcstl 3 points ago +6 / -3

Sadly, it is coming to this. They never stop trying to destroy their world and we just can't allow them to do that.

Next time, go to the section where they sell baseball bats, choose one and walk around with it whilst shopping. See who says anything to you.

Post-it-votes [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

I love this. It's the opposite of my usual strategy (to be invisible,) but I may just have to give it a go. For science.

4
Americanapplepie 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trust the science goes both ways, especially in this societal experiment.

4
Post-it-votes [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sure does. I've seen zero studies demonstrating that masks work. I've seen several demonstrating they don't.

3
Americanapplepie 3 points ago +3 / -0

Now test the hypothesis of if baseball bats keep sheeple quiet.

I can't tell you the degree to which I agree with you. This must end.

What they are doing to the children is the most evil part of this. It’s at the point where I’m not even sure I want Trump to pull this off in a peaceful way. I almost want things to pop off so our patriots can just start hunting down and executing these traitors. We would have these fuckers defeated in seven days and people will be pissed that there aren’t any more commies to kill. And then we would be free of them! It would be over! Masks would be over! Covid would be gone! And so many other small tyrannies we have been forced to accept.

8
becky21k 8 points ago +8 / -0

CDC is now insisting we wear them indoors everywhere, so

I went through a long argument with a maskerbator on Facebook yesterday who couldn't really provide any answer why she thinks they work, except her experience in the hospital. Where she works as a bottom level trainee with her one semester of training.

These people are just brainwashed, doesn't matter what facts you point out, they insist masks do something.

Mllkman 8 points ago +8 / -0

I open carry anytime I go into stores maskless (like an American should) and haven’t had many people approach me 🤔

Try replying with some random sign language! Holy shit! :) Foreign language also works.

When the mask thing started, I decided then and there it would be my line in the sand. I would not comply, no way no how.

Been lucky so far, I have had no major incidents with people giving me shit over not wearing a mask. The fact that people are now getting hassled for not having their masks on "correctly" confirms my suspicion that this is NEVER going to end. They've already begun with talks of vaccines and vaccine cards and $1,500 stimulus checks for getting a vaccine.

They will keep pushing and pushing. My advice to anyone reading this is to draw that line in the sand and take your stand. Whatever that may be for you. As long as you keep giving in, they will be taking your freedoms one bit at a time. Stay strong, pedes.

Brookie2018 6 points ago +6 / -0

It is not you imagination. They are getting bad. The damn mask gave me an eye infection. I am not going to loose my sight because someone believes a virus will kill you. I get all kinds of looks and at times fell I need a sign around my neck.

Keep it up and shed the diaper!

5
CountryState_of_Mind 5 points ago +5 / -0

One of my friends' daughter also got an eye infection from wearing the mask all day long at work. It's ass-backwards insane controlling bullshit.

6
anthemstander 6 points ago +6 / -0

I agree. I'm not a very social person, but I don't like that no one is allowed to see you smile when you're out shopping and even when you're exercising alone outside, you risk someone freaking out because of your lack of mask.

I can't imagine being told as a kid that if I embrace my grandparents they might die. And then years later find out that this was just propaganda. Talk about creating cynics.

5
LArnix 5 points ago +5 / -0

It always depends were you are. Dont give them the attention they are seeking. Just do your thing.

5
BeanieRed 5 points ago +5 / -0

Sheeple be sheeple. If the media ramps up the hysteria, then everyone sees it as marching orders. As if the two people you see in the store without masks (well, me and one other) are single-handedly responsible for Covid increases. It's beyond ridiculous. There is NO reasoning with these people. They are convinced they have power over the virus here in the US when in reality the tests are WAY too sensitive and WAY over reported. We continue to live in a nanny state, while my missionary friends in Tanzania are having dinner fellowships at a church of 200+ every Sunday because Covid somehow miraculously is not a big deal there.

AlgorithmicFairness 5 points ago +5 / -0

Dude, I am sorry that happened to you. Has happened to me at least twice in the last month on my daily walk, and made me VERY angry.

The thing about me is that I have lots of strong opinions too, but I don’t walk up to people and start telling them how to behave (like they do). I don’t even think about how they should behave. It’s their right to wear one and mine not to. It would never occur to me that what my view is is somehow relevant to a random person I’m passing on the street. My reaction to them is “why are you talking? Who ARE you?”

Conformity has been around forever, but now they feel emboldened. OTOH, my sibling, who has a BLM sign in their front yard and all that, was venting yesterday about how the new lockdown restrictions here are “draconian” (where we were in April).

I make an effort to unfortunately just not make eye contact with people right now. Works better.

Same here. I fight the urge to flip off the masked drivers alone in their cars. Easier to stay home and avoid the clown world antics.

1
usernamenottaken 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh, and it's fun to see maskholes get confused when you respond to their bullshit with a polite "God bless you for your thoughtfulness. Your life must be so beautiful to have no worries about how to live your life that you can spend time telling everyone else how they should live theirs."

5
usernamenottaken 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes, it's worse! I was in rite aid, practically empty, standing/waiting to be called to pharmacy counter. Karen starts going where's your mask. I don't acknowledge her at all. She keeps getting louder repeating herself. I finally said thats what I'm waiting to buy. (This was a total lie.) Thank you so much for your concern and I applaud you for having such a perfect grip on your life that you have taken the time to meddle in mine! She sputtered and stomped away.

Being quiet and polite, with a God bless you, it really shorts their circuits because maskholes are obviously looking to fight. I really wanted to scream FUCK YOU BRAINWASHED CUNT but that's what they want. I refuse to give those fuckers the satisfaction of thinking their words trigger me.

"I hate what this is doing to me. I hate what this is doing to society. It feels like enemies are around every corner, just waiting to pounce."

This feeling is what they want you to have. Fear.

You are a victim of their psychological warfare test called "Cov19".

But don't give up fren! Pleasant surprises wait around the corner. 😇👍

Don't ever let someone get away freely with their mask shaming. Doesn't matter exactly what you do, but you have to counter with something unpleasant for them or they'll feel encouraged to do it to the next person.

4
Olds77 4 points ago +4 / -0

Good on you for just ignoring them. No one likes being ignored and the more people that do it the more it goes away. Some states are really pushing it more and businesses hate feeling the squeeze.

EpstinDidntKilHimslf 4 points ago +4 / -0

A helpful comment to remember is to remind them that the way the Nazi’s gained power was with the phrase “it’s for your safety”. Literally stops them dead in their tracks. My favorite most useful lines. Even worked at the DMV

I just got an email from childs school that they will require masks even at outdoor recess. =(

df0ster5 4 points ago +4 / -0

I've only had 2 people come up to me since this whole thing started... one was some karen at a grocery store who said "you know im going to get sick because of you" and I just said "hmmm yeahhh.." and walked off. I could hear her rambling to herself about me all the way to the customer service desk where I presume she was whining to them about me.

Second was some white knight at the gym just 2 days ago. I have to keep a mask on there or the nutjob employees appear out of the woodwork to tell you to put it on. So I usually just keep my nose out because fuck them if im not going to breathe and overheat while Im lifting. White knight comes out of nowhere acting tough like "you mind putting your mask on for me? thanks" and starts to walk away like he just accomplished something..? I said "no thats okay" to him as he triumphantly walked away and I could see immedaitely why the dumbass was acting big even though he was half my size, he had never had anyone talk back to him probably and was trying to stroke his savior complex that all dems have. walked back to do his 20 lb shoulder presses with his tail between his legs.

Some Oklahoma cities have mask mandates. I do not wear masks anywhere. I’ve had people give me looks but no one has set anything to me yet.

3
quodvox 3 points ago +5 / -2

Don't be one of those people. It just makes you look stupid. Either wear the mask to avoid the hassle, or don't wear it. Don't half ass it.

If you don't want to wear the mask then don't, just walk right in and ignore everyone who bitches at you. If they get close, tell them to keep 6 ft. back.
