I live near the saddle dome and wonder what the plan is for the new arena, if they plan on leaving the saddle dome there and build something new on the stampede grounds. I remember when that whole area of the city massively flooded weeks before stampede and they cleaned it up and had it ready for stampede without missing a beat. The saddle dome was flooded up to mid level. This year they canceled stampede because of China virus and I’m not even a fan of stampede but man that is weird, I missed the madness and the day drinking and the cowboy vibe.
Yeah, I just looked at the plans for the area, they are already bulldozing the coral for a more robust events centre. That sucks, went to lots of concerts at the both the coral and saddle dome. The hockey games were always off the hook too.
