thedonald.win is amazing but staying too long on here might not be good for your mental peace of mind. What are some reads that people would recommend? Fiction or non-fiction. Précis and discussion encouraged. Here's some to start.

  • 1984 (or course)
  • Brave New World (of course)
  • Starship Troopers
  • Ender's Game
  • The Moon is a Harsh Mistress (heck, just insert all of Heinlein here).
  • Fahrenheit 451
  • Enemies Foreign and Domestic (trilogy)
  • 1632

I thought this book was astounding.

Weird Scenes Inside The Canyon: Laurel Canyon, Covert Ops & The Dark Heart Of The Hippie Dream David McGowan

the following book was pretty out there - but a good listen.

Battle Hymn: Revelations of the Sinister Plan for a New World Order by John Scura, Dane Phillips.

A Thousand Miles to Freedom: My Escape from North Korea. Eunsun Kim

A great story to escape from reality in:

The way of kings: Brandon Sanderson

Theft of Swords: Michael J. Sullivan. Excellent fantasy/magic series

Ready Player One: Ernest Cline. Only if you grew up in the 80's playing computer games....

One of my favorite non-fiction to get people to at least read a couple of pieces out of is Forbidden Archeology- which is basically written like a text book just filled with archeological finds that don't fit in, and sometimes absolutely refute the agreed upon consensus of science and history.

I've won over a couple of "Believe The Science" like people with it. Also, it's thick af, so it also makes a good weapon for personal defense if nothing else is handy.

Sounds interesting. I'll give them a look. I enjoy reading about that kind of thing even if I look at it with a skeptical eye.

go for Jordan Peterson's recommended reading.

it's not necessarily "MAGA" but certainly some of the best books ever written.

I've read a few of those. I think The Road to Wigan Pier is one I should probably prioritize. I'm currently working my way through "Exposing the Real Che Guevara: And the Useful Idiots Who Idolize Him" which is interesting but it's a bit of a tough chew.
