I’ll be getting a new phone soon. Should I be worried about the built in exposure notifications for the chinavirus?

No. Just keep them turned off. Get a VPN subscription. PIA and Nord are good. Look into ad blockers. Use a secure browser. DuckDuckGo browser is good on IOS. Clear cache and cookies. Just get used to entering your login info more frequently. Deal with it.
