I don't think anyone ever intended to stay home. It is a narrative from the DNC to justify why the turnout will be "lower". AKA they are going to throw out more Trump votes instead of making fake Biden votes. They can't fake as crazy with so many eyes on them. They have to pump this weird idea in the mainstream media and get some weird conservative voices to say it so they can point at it as the excuse afterwards as some kind of realistic reason as to why it happened.
