First of all god damn did I need that rally anybody else?

I have put a fair bit of thought into this and wanted to see if this could be built upon or even critiqued by my fellow pede's here. When we finally win this thing we should look to influencing and changing operations so that history does not EVER repeat this mess.

We frequently see these positions (major government office) abused for power/ status/ wealth/ influence/ vice. well what if we could put some reigns on that and direct it a bit.

This would amount to a 5 part cleanup plan. Master of the house should know it best. As such the constituency should have those in major government office with the best lens on their actions.

  1. Civilian living.

  2. Health assurance.

  3. Account management.

  4. Income Allotment.

  5. Biennial performance review and adjustment.

So in depth it would hit positions such as your secretary of state, governors, representatives, senators etc. Rule 3 would naturally apply to every single person that works close to these individuals.

  1. Civilian living - You must live within your district, and where you live is assigned by constituents. Your housing is not of your direct choice and you will not live elsewhere until your term is up / moved after performance review. Do your job well or live in the rough part of town. super simple stuff.

  2. Health assurance - these people are our servants, as such we take care of their needs to the letter. Insurance, food, travel, etc. This way they are free to take care of ours. The caveat here is that like any business there is a clean and clear track record of expenses that should be given consistent scrutiny. Your constituency is taking care of you, it is not a burden to have your spending monitored.

  3. Account management - All bank accounts must be closed upon entry to M.G.O. A new bank account will be put in place that is monitored for your entire time in office and for an undisclosed (to you) amount of time after. New bank accounts cannot be opened for 10 years to avoid any quid pro quo investments in you.

  4. Income - You will always start at the Mean income of your state. This will be determined as well by the constituency that voted you in. Given line two this would of course amount to your spending money given that most necessities are handled as is. EX) Your travel to the golf course is on us. Using the golf course is on you. EX) That expensive dinner you went to is on you. Groceries are on us.

  5. Biennial performance review and adjustment - (Carrot / Stick)

Rules 1 and 2 are subject to the peoples decision. Your performance will dictate both your disposable income and your housing.

Treat the people well, follow up on promises, and most importantly LISTEN to your constituents and move up.

Fail your constituents by giving false promises with no payout and lackluster leadership. Well the rough part of town and a significantly lower income is what you earned.

Of course ID required, in person, paper ballots only for our elections. soldiers over seas these days can quite literally do this as well and have their command send the numbers over.

Would love to hear yalls thoughts.

I can’t read all that but I agree that Congress should be more like joining the military and serving your country instead of getting rich.

Two and three are original ideas to me but they are a great way to cut down corruption.

Precisely. Coupled with 5 they wont take thier position for granted either. Dont wanna live in a trailer park and be the laughingstock of the entire congress.
