The best I've seen done is wait for them to ask your opinion state it clearly and shut up. Only proceed if they ask more. Otherwise it is having the opposite effect sadly (as much as everyone wishes it wasn't the case).

I feel your pain, there’s no reasoning with the liberals in my family either. I have literally been told that the videos were made in Russia to look like US elections by Putin for Trump. Unless y’all are both openly discussing with good intentions try to avoid the topic, family is too important to cause a divide with someone as important as your father.
