I know too many people that just come home from their job, blaze and watch tv/videogames, then pass out, repeat everyday. It kills motivation to be consistently productive in your leisure time to improve your life imo. Too much consumerism
It stopped making me laugh before I could legally buy alcohol so I don't understand how older people do it. Maybe they just never tried it when they were younger and it still has that effect or they have glaucoma or some other debilitating disease.

You become addicted to it in a sense that when you're bored, you want to be high because feeling good = not bored.
I still smoke daily, but keep it to before bedtime for the most part since I know that it holds me back in every way and just kills time.
