We are asked to wear masks by our church leadership. I respect that, so I don't go inside. My wife and kids do, because that's their choice, but they know how I feel about it. (wearing a mask = HEIL HITLER. Literally it breaks my heart every time I see someone wearing a mask.)

But the truth is, I'd rather spend time with the roughest sort of people here than with my church members.

I seriously love you guys. I'd invite you all into my home if I could.

I am sure Jesus feels the same way. There's no way he'd ever cover his smiling face, or ask me to do the same.

I completely agree except on one ground, I think wearing a mask is more like cowing to Stalin than saluting Hitler.

Yep, there was some degree of pride to saluting Hitler.

My priest is wondering why fewer and fewer people are attending indoor mass. The reason: he took such a hardline stance on mask wearing that it got under everyone's skin. The people refusing to wear masks are going to outdoor services now.

My Book says to "lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" not stay six-feet apart.

You reminded me of people that refuse to gather into churches and congregations at all, who go out in the woods as if that is a replacement for fellowship with fellow believers in Christ. I'm of the mindset that Christ gave us church and expects us to participate.

He was simply clarifying his position.

yes sure. But when churches become homes of wickedness ? what to do then? Didn't you see that church that was forcing a kid to say he was a girl? Didn't you see that priest that had an orgy with 2 mistresses? Don't you see how they want to force people to wear their masks and take the vax ? Don't you see how they close churches and keep strip clubs open?

That's all I meant. They want to hinder people's praying and people's talking to God in the holy places but God is Everywhere and they cannot stop people from worshipping the only true God.

Feels as if the left is trying to take away our religion. Like in history religious persecution but in a way we don’t notice it over time. It’s time that stops now.

My bishop knows this isn't why my family is going to church. My kits have said they learn more when we do Sunday school at home. The discussions are much more invigorating.

Any church requiring face masks is not of God. Because that's fear based. And 365 times in all bibles God said "fear not". .

It disgraceful and shameful in everyway. If your afraid of personal encounters then don't go. But keep your fear at home with all your other idols.

But a church is supposed to be were testimonies are shared and where brethren gather together and praise and worship and give each other holy hugs and kisses

I know that I could walk in to my church, and they would definitely not turn me away. Not because of who I am, but because that is not the policy of the church. We can't turn anyone away, even the vilest of sinners who we have excommunicated.

That said, the leaders asked, gently, and not by commandment, please don't come if you aren't wearing a mask. They have made it possible for everyone to enjoy the services, so I literally have no reason to go to church.

You really don't need to go to church, my brother. My church is wherever I am. I can pray to Jesus, and read the Bible anytime I want to!

But where will you find the people who need fellowship? Bible is clear simply saying Lord Lord won't be enough.
