If this is true, why are we going through hell right now? Isn't it time for them to reveal such information? What are your thoughts?

I lean the direction that they did, but my guess for possible reasons it hasn't been made fully public are.

  1. They may feel the way that they were acquired or the information on them may make using them in court as evidence more difficult, and are focusing on building cases that will be more palatable for a swift decisions. Tech evidence is always going to be harder to push in courts due to lack of understanding and the cases ultimately hinge on you expert witnesses as a result. Right now swift results are needed to move through court systems to get up to the SC.

  2. They are being held as insurance for other avenues or investigations (like #1 these cases would likely take much longer to resolve through courts).

  3. Depending on what was gotten and if it was locked down securely the most useful parts might be encrypted.

  4. It's not know what these machines were doing in the first place. Where they routing, counting, storing data, modifying data in transit? They may have been doing nothing incredulous themselves and excepting for the major issue of any voting machines being in contact with foreign servers may only be minorly useful for investigations base on logs etc.

  5. If the rumors about CIA involvement vs. Mil Intel have any merit, this would have massive implications on its own.
