Used to be an open forum similar to this but their mods are commies so they censored everything and it turned into a liberal circle jerk. The one difference is they have things called subreddits which are basically mini communities. So for example there is an NFL subreddit where all the posts are about things related to the NFL. There's a wide variety of subreddits on many topics that you can subscribe to. You can look at popular post in all your subreddits on a timeline or you can click into the specific subreddits and only view that content
