Here are some points from my own quick glance over:

• Their hair looks a bit different, but roughly a month has passed, and they were in total frump mode at the polls and professional bitch mode in the second pic (compare their clothes to really drive that point home).
• Elena definitely had a cut (long hair becoming shorter- the opposite doesn't happen unless with extensions) and dye job to look better in front of cameras, but what doesn't really change is her preference for highlighted or two-toned dye jobs. The way both of them part their hair (something people are unlikely to change) stays almost exactly the same (within the normal range of hair being jostled around and settling).
• The hair-part on Elena in particular can be verified because she is in the same angle in both pics, and her part is at roughly the center or 3/4s point of her left eye (her left our right as viewers).
