I don't even smoke, I'm just old enough to remember the start of the war on drugs and I've read enough to know why marijuana prohibition is even a thing. Maybe they'd remove that odorous question if weed was decriminalized, giving yet another reason to end this nonsense.
My big issue with drugs - which should apply to pretty much everything - is what the person does outside the home where they affect other people. Alcohol has been hammered hard, what with DWI etc. How many riots this summer were started because of high dumbasses being stupid? Forget Fentanyl Floyd - what about the dope who passed out in the fast-food drive through?
I think I agree with you there, I am certainly not advocating impairing yourself and then putting others in immediate danger like with DUI's. And even if fentanyl (and a whole host of other drugs) were legal and FREE I wouldn't use it, because I'm not a complete fool. It all comes down to personal responsibility and self discipline and not everyone has the same level of that, but condemning everyone in advance for something others do on the same substance is an infringement of liberty that I find offensive. Junkies are gonna junk though, and I don't think any kind of legislation is going to stop a determined addict from doing the shit they do. Lumping marijuana with schedule 1 drugs like heroin is ludicrous and using marijuana as a pretext to fill our prisons is abominable.
Ever try not being an authoritarian bootlicker?
It aint easy being green

If weed was legal people would be smoking instead of rioting
