Local government is often overlooked, but it's were A LOT of things get handled. Just watch out, off year elections from the presidential elections is historically when the opposite party can make gains. Shouldn't be a problem if you can bring energy to the people.

It seens as though they dont want you to easily know which boards positions are open, which year your district rep election is etc etc.. until after nominating paperwork closed.
It almost seems as thought they dont want you to have info without having to run around and physically go to registrar....asif they want to keep incumbents without challengers and be able to appoint friends to open board positions because " no citizens are interested" hmmm weird isnt it
