I'll play devil's advocate and offer up an alternative explanation, with the disclaimer that I'm definitely open to hearing about flaws in my argument/reasons I'm wrong!

  1. Developing/non-industrialized countries have very high birth rates - in 1800s Europe, it wouldn't be uncommon for a family to have 8+ kids. Same thing Africa, Southeast Asia, etc.

  2. These high birth rates are attributable to (among other things), a high child mortality rate. High child mortality --> most of their kids will probably die, so they need to have many children just to increase the odds of one making it to adulthood.

  3. Vaccinations (like actual vaccines against TB and malaria) reduce the child mortality rate from these diseases, meaning instead of needing to have 8 kids to make sure 2 survive, they only need to have 4 kids.

This is one of the reasons why birth rates in developed nations (North America, Japan/South Korea, Western Europe, etc.) have fallen drastically. Another reason is from economic development and a shift away from agriculture to manufacturing/services. Non-industrialized agriculture is very labor-intensive; pivoting away from that lifestyle means a family needs to have fewer children to maintain their livelihood.

As I said, just an alternative explanation for Gates' statement about using vaccines to reduce the population in developing countries. I'm open to being corrected!

This is pretty much what Bill Gates' book "The Road Ahead" argues. I read it cover to cover in high school.

I literally don’t know another way to interpret his statement. Are we to believe that mandating a vaccine to these same countries/demographics would cause them to reproduce less? They all of the sudden would just start having 2.5 children instead of 8? No, I think not. They would do like the Latin American and Amish population does and just have 8 healthy children who reach adulthood instead of 2 of said 8 prior to vaccinations. But that won’t happen. These vaccines are a tool to prevent children without the consent of the vaccinated.

Additionally, β€œreproducing less” is a misnomer. Acceptance of the vaccine results in NO offspring, not LESS offspring. We’re talking a genocide of sorts. This is their design. Say what you want of the merit of their goal, but make no mistake, that IS their goal.
