Here’s the simple explanation, since few people on here are explaining this correctly:

  • mRNA vaccine works by making your own body cells create and exhibit on their cell wall a specific protein marker. In this case, your own body cells will get the spike protein which is on the coronavirus.

  • your immune system sees your own spiked cells as foreign and attacks them. Note this is very different from traditional vaccines which inject foreign bodies that are targeted by the immune system. With mRNA vaccine, your own cells become the target.

  • now the infertility theorists say that the spike protein is similar to or the same as a protein on certain cells important to procreation.

  • therefore the body is trained to combat anything with the spike and may attack the cells exhibiting the protein that are normal and needed for procreation, rendering you infertile.

Some points:

  • the mRNA particles that are injected have a short life and so only some of your body cells will exhibit the spike protein and only for a short time. The vaccine doesn’t train your cells to make the mRNA so it’s not like it floods your system with mRNA and your whole body gets spiked. Within a short period the mRNA is gone and your cells won’t keep exhibiting these spike proteins on your surface. The ones that do become spiked get destroyed by your immune system or just die naturally over time. It isn’t permanent.

  • It is fair I think to ask why getting the virus itself and having an immune response to the spike protein on the virus wouldn’t also make you infertile, since presumably the virus would also train the immune system to attack the same protein. I’m not sure about this one. I guess it’s possible the immune system targets some other aspect of the virus and not just the spike protein.
