This is the answer. In the name of individual freedom, there must be zero restrictions. Anyone who is afraid of Covid is perfectly welcome to hide in their homes or wear a face diaper. I won’t even make fun of them for it if it’s just their choice. Meanwhile, everyone who doesn’t care can just go about their normal lives, and some of them might get sick for a few days.
The newer talking points I’m hearing from family members who take the lockdowns seriously is that even if the infection rate is low and the death rate is extremely low, they still don’t want to risk getting it because “we don’t know the long-term effects of getting the disease yet”. Problem is, we won’t know long-term until it’s been long-term. Sounds to me like they’re prepared to buckle up for years of quarantine.
Sad, because they'll most be the same ones first in line for the shot, not knowing the long term side effects. They'll be the ginuea pigs. I have a family member so afraid to die from wu-flu (yet, still goes out shopping and other activities) and wants to get the vaccine asap, death from the vaccine never crossed her mind, but if someone doesnt wear a mask around her they're trying to kill her! shes been majorly sheepwashed🤦♀️

COVID-21 will be directly caused by car exhaust. COVID-22 will be directly caused by owning guns in your house. COVID-23 will be directly caused by espousing conservative ideals on the Internet.
Real gas masks don't fully protect against viruses, the filters aren't good enough. You need a full biosuit with separate back mounted electric filter system/bottled air to be totally safe from viruses.
I have an idea. Make a light weight gas mask for people afraid of Wuflu that engulfs their entire face so the rest us can go about our lives normally.

Its a shame but the military will be the first guinea pigs for the vaccine. No choice in the matter.

The seasonal flu can cause damage to the heart yet they aren't all up in arms over that.
There are people who do not want the lockdowns to end. Ever.
Lockdowns give them the excuse they've always wanted to hide from the world and not have to face their own weakness, cowardice, and failure.
The one thing they WILL fight for is to keep the lockdowns going as long as possible - preferably forever.
That's not the argument they make for masks.

I doubt if those surgical masks do much of anything. If you don’t have a seal, you’re breathing around it to a degree.

A gas mask with a HEPA filter is far superior to any surgical mask or even everybody wearing surgical masks.
