Real gas masks don't fully protect against viruses, the filters aren't good enough. You need a full biosuit with separate back mounted electric filter system/bottled air to be totally safe from viruses.
That's not the argument they make for masks.
They've effectively weaponized the public against itself. "It doesnt keep you safe, it protects everyone else"
It's the same argument you can then make to keep people from driving.

A real gas mask would keep an individual safe..
I doubt if those surgical masks do much of anything. If you don’t have a seal, you’re breathing around it to a degree.

A gas mask with a HEPA filter is far superior to any surgical mask or even everybody wearing surgical masks.
