A good number of the churches took up the BLM cause around me. Many members leaving because they don’t agree with the direction the pastor is going and those people get called racist on their way out the door. I’m sorry but burning and looting is not the fruit of the spirit.
I left my church because of this. The pastor gave a terrible pro-BLM sermon back in June. It tore me apart. It was at a time when my work started to come down with rules on our language, like we couldn't use the words "blacklist", "whitelist", "blackhole", etc anymore. I thought that at least I could rely on being able to take comfort in the church. Then that fateful Sunday morning, I heard that sermon. I just don't know what to do now.
Because they were watered down. This has been a wake up call to many I know. They either leaned further away from God or became dependent on Him
