There are people forming churches in this older way. It creates tight-knit subgroups (life groups) without the overhead of a big building. We had someone visit my church before shutdowns and talked about it.

And, later, if one of these groups adopts a local little-used old style church, they can revive it. Those old buildings can be pretty, if cleaned up. They have kitchens.

You would need to be careful and tactful, initially.

And contribute money.

There may be security concerns you can help with. Old churches can't afford security surveillance apps but you can. And a member of your group could be there at night, keeping an eye on things.

You don't want a situation where the churches start getting burned the way they are doing in Europe.

They are great. You may have to visit with a few to find your fit, but the name says it all: a group of folks "doing life" together. Before I moved a couple of years ago, I had a good one. I'm trying to move back to my home as soon as I can. Nothing but grief since I left there.

Thank you. Prayers are appreciated. I'm hopeful about a particular job that will open up in the spring.
